Miss Snark:Why, why do you write "sux" instead of "sucks"? I spelled like that as a freshman in college. I still blush at the memory.

Miss Snark is cavalier with her commas, too. But she brings it off because she knows what she's doing. It's like a hat you'd never think of until you saw it on Uma Thurman, another stylist whose real name I don't want to know.

Pynchon did something like this in Gravity's Rainbow, right? 'sed' instead of 'said'. The whole book; he sed, she sed. But read a constant new thing often enough and it'll change your perception of what is right or wrong.
