Article link: Safest Way to Search for An Agent

Miss Snark,
what do you think of this article:

The Safest Way to Search for an Agent by Victoria Strauss

sounds like pretty reasonable advice to me.
And of course the exact people who should be reading it closely and following it ...aren't.

and from the comments column comes the link to their blog which I have also put on my blog roll. These two are fabu. Anytime you have folks getting threatened by scammers you KNOW they are doing good work.

what's it doing on the comments column then?

Besides everyone knows all emails to Miss Snark should arrive with a twenty dollar bill!

Victoria Strauss is brilliant--and very nice. I ALWAYS recommend her Writer Beware site when readers write to me asking about how to get published, along with Preditors and Editors (though P&E can get a little out of date). Definitely two must-know resources for writers looking to publish.

I have not read Ms. Crispin's books (yet), but I'm a fan of Victoria Strauss'. THE BURNING LAND was excellent.

Out of date?

Well, yes, that can happen, I guess, even though we post updates to the site every single day. Out of the over 200 pages comprising the site, at least two and up to twenty are updated each day. That includes adding new listings. Anyway, if you see something that's out of date, give us a holler.
