This one just plain hurts. Here's the obit from the Washington Post.

Thank you so much for steering us to that obit. It is inspiring to read about lives well lived with superb talent, yet little fanfare. I consider Mr. Busch an excellent role model. It's very easy to get caught up in the quest for big name recognition. I will try to remember that I am very fortunate just to be able to create, period.

What a horrific loss. I can't empathize more -- with you, with us, with all readers and writers everywhere, with his family and friends. We are richer for having read Busch's work, poorer for not having more to read.
