Advise me to do what I want!

As a certified and certifiable giver of advice, commentary and suggestions on all things book, bookish, bookner and bucolic, I laughed with recognition at this latest from Levi Asher who went up the Y to hear a panel on publishing.

Thanks to GalleyCat for the link.

Gee, wonder why that one-book girl didn't manage to get another one sold in the last few years...couldn't be her attitude, could it?

I'd feel sorrier for the readers who can't afford hardcovers and have to wait a year for paperbacks if I didn't know most of the books go on top of a TBR pile and won't be read for another year anyway! (This is a semi-joke, people.)

My TBR has books I bought hardcover ten years ago because I just couldn't wait...sigh....

I still think Anna Louise Genoese summed it up best :

Don't be an idiot. Act like a grownup. Use your brain. Like I've said before, it's amazing how many people write a book and suddenly become blithering morons.
