Some of you have emailed or posted comments about how to "get started" as either an agent or n the publishing world. Internning is a great way; Mr. Beller needs one.

I just want to read the slush piles at home...
Does that qualify?
How can anyone work in NY for free?
Elektra [giggles with an insane joy one should not really have when talking about an unpaid job] already has an internship lined up with a literary agency.
Which means...I'm reading the slush! I am my own worst nightmare.
I note no mention is made of a gin stipend. Should we expect this to be standard for all intern positions?
spring/summer probably doesn't mean "mid-may to end of july" and can't even interview because college is too far away, huh?
Can I intern for you, Miss Snark? I'd bring my own gin!
