I miss Larry Brown

I always admired Larry Brown's writing.

This reminds me why I liked him as a person as well.

We all miss him down here, as well. Larry was one in a million. Billion, even.

We miss Johnny, too, come to think of it.

Sometimes I think Oxford has produced more literary talent than all the rest of the country put together. Must be something in the water at Ole Miss.

I still remember when I picked up his first novel DIRTY WORK at the ABA convention and reviewed it for my college newspaper. What an amazing writer. I didn't even know he'd died. You constantly amaze me, Miss Snark, I didn't have you pegged for a Larry Brown fan. He and Charles Bukowski are my faves for when I'm feeling blue.

Fantastic article.

Too many to miss. Thank goodness for their books, eh?
