A Tajistan Love Story, humorous novel
Jason’s life has not been at all what he expected after finishing two years in Tajistan as a Peace Corps volunteer. He spends his days working at a hectic refugee resettlement agency, his evenings dodging his peppy girlfriend who doesn’t realize they are no longer dating, and nights sleeping in his parents’ basement—along with his older sister and her two kids. But his life turns from pathetic to menacing when the Tajistan government claims Jason owes them half a million dollars in unpaid taxes and the Tajistan mafia takes a sudden interest in his future career path. The more he tries to convince them that they are pursuing the wrong person, the more shocked he is to realize they may not be. Facing deportation and threats to his life, Jason realizes the only way to unravel the mystery is to return to the country where it all started.

The clincher is this: The more he tries to convince them that they are pursuing the wrong person, the more shocked he is to realize they may not be
