Michael Dibdin, renowned crime novelist, and a really really wonderful guy, has died.

I loved the Last Sherlock Holmes Story very much not only as a story but for putting a big stonking cat in amongst the fandom pigeons--and I read quite a few of the Aurelio Zen's. So sad to lose him so early.
