I am so glad I didn't throw my computer out the window, if only to read this and laugh about it. NOW, out the damn thing goes!
Mark Wahlberg was the only actor I was rooting for at the Oscars this year. I loved his character.
one of his many great moments in that movie.
Two questions that immediately come to mind for Miss Snark :
1) Did you catch Marky M-- Mark Wahlberg on "In the Actor's Studio"?
2) Does Clooney have competition?
Ooooh. Does Mr. Clooney have competition? Someone send a dispatch right away. Maybe it will get him moving in the right direction.
For more info on my favorite man, Marky Mark (George is too pampered, sorry!)

I don't mind sharing.....
Fantastic movie; fantastic character. Man, I want to see it again now.
A great line from one of Scorsese's best. The Spousal Equivalent put Wahlberg on The List after seeing the Departed. She added Robert Crais a few weeks ago, so she has literary tastes, as well.
Just watched The Departed on DVD. That phrase also struck me as very quotable.
Wahlberg's character in that movie was awesome. I enjoyed the movie overall, but his character was the best thing about it. Just awesome.
My favorite line was also from Wahlberg's character. After the DiCaprio character quotes Nathaniel Hawthorn, Wahlberg's character makes a farting noise and says: "Whatsa matter smartass, you don't know any f*cking Shakespeare?"
It's a great line but the farting noise, this is, I think, a real touch of grace in the delivery of the line. :)
Clooney is sophisticated, Wahlberg is a little rough around the edges.
Kinda like the difference between fine dining and a good barbecue.
;)
*falls over laughing* I love Mark Wahlberg anyway, but his character in that movie was awesome!
Ditto. Great line, great character.
Loved the movie, also loved that the theme song was "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" by Dropkick Murphys. Best use of a song into in a movie ever.
I saw the Departed yesterday - Wahlberg was amazing (despite the dodgy hairstyle).
